AgInnovation Students Accept PEYA Award in Washington D.C.

Congratulations to our AgInnovation students, who were awarded The President’s Environmental Youth Award (PEYA)! This is a prestigious national award which recognizes outstanding environmental stewardship projects developed by K-12 youth. Since 1971, the President of the United States has joined with EPA to recognize young people for protecting our nation's air, water, land, and ecology.

The students travelled to Washington D.C. in August 2022 to accept the award at the EPA’s annual award ceremony. Thank you so much to everyone who supported the kids and made it possible for them to attend the ceremony! A big thank you to Desautel Law for the generous matching grant, Senator Jack Reed for meeting with the kids on the Capitol steps, Greenvale Vineyards for hosting a fundraising event, and of course to our amazing parents.
